For People Who Love Games
It was the great Taylor Swift who once said, "Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play." We couldn't have put it better ourselves. For those of you who want to play, play, play, play, play, read on.
We host weekly game nights at restaurants and breweries. We bring in 50+ games and you can play whatever you want for free. Want to try something new? There will be a host on hand who can explain the rules to anything there and make personally-tailored recommendations. We're at Pizzeria Regina in Allston every Monday, 6-9:30 and at Down the Road Brewery in Everett every Wednesday, 6:30-9:30. Click that "Where Can I Play" link to learn more about our locations, then grab some friends and come play some games.
We run special events at our board game nights all the time. Past ones have included tournaments, indie game developers nights and Dungeons & Dragons for First Time Players. We're looking at other options for the months to come including Wikipedia Races (oh yeah, it's gonna be great), a design-your-own-board-game night and more. Plus we'll be bringing back some old popular events from months past. Click here to see what we've got coming up.
Wayne Gretzky. Tom Brady. Bea Arthur. They are the respective greats of their field and as such have been recognized a million times over. But how do we honor the greats of Boston board games? With our Hall of Champions. Check out the previous winners of our tournaments, and dream of a day when you might join their ranks by clicking here.
Join Our Mailing List
Before you start ranting about how much you hate mailing lists, let us say that we hate them too. You see a sign saying that a place will give you free pancakes on your birthday if you join their list, so you sign up. Then, next thing you know, you're getting three messages a week about all sorts of "exciting breakfast deals" that neither seem exciting or like they're especially good deals. Meanwhile, you realize that you stopped liking pancakes a decade ago and you don't want to spend your birthday breakfast at an IHOP anyway. But now unsubscribing would require clicking that link all the way at the bottom of the screen and then being redirected to another page and... well... the point is life is really hard sometimes. So we take pride in the fact that we only send out one e-mail a month. And, if we don't have anything to say, sometimes we skip a month. We use it to let you know about fun events we have coming up, new venues that are opening and any cancellations. And once in a blue moon we give away discounts to our events. You should join.
